Why We Built This Site
Orleans Parish is unusual because Civil District Court and Criminal District Court are distinct trial courts. Municipal and Traffic Court, First City Court, Second City Court, Juvenile Court, and federal courts add more record paths. Louisiana has no single public trial-court docket portal. The purpose of this site is to make the official routing clearer, including the current 2026 change that transferred criminal-clerk records to the parish clerk.
What You Will Find Here
The docket pages describe how to locate a court case, read a setting, and request a record from the right custodian. They link to official Civil Clerk, Criminal District Court, Municipal and Traffic Court, and city-court resources. The pages also distinguish a docket view from a certified copy and identify access limits for juvenile, sealed, and expunged material.
- Criminal and civil docket-search paths
- Court-date and setting confirmation routes
- Case lookup fields and portal limits
- Court-record and certified-copy channels
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not a Louisiana court, clerk, or government office. We cannot issue a docket or certified copy, change a setting, provide legal advice, seal a case, or confirm the legal meaning of a docket entry. The clerk or court that holds the original record is the authority for each of those matters.
Only the responsible court or clerk can supply an official record. Confirm a time-sensitive setting directly with that court.
Search Partners
Some pages contain a search box supplied by a third party. That service has its own results, terms, and pricing. A referral fee may be earned when a visitor chooses a paid service. The box does not replace the official Orleans Parish court portals or clerk-record channels described here.
